Body of Joseph E Donner, 36,
who was drowned in the lower
Niagara river, near Lewiston a
week ago yesterday, while fish-
ing, was recovered last night,
about a quarter of a mile from
the spot where the tragedy oc-
curred.
The remains were brought to the
Hamp funeral home, 37 Adam
Street, today. Funeral services will
be held at 3:30 o'clock tomorrow
afternoon from the late residence
on Witmer road, town of Wheat-
field. Rev. Theophil Twente will
officiate. Burial will be in Elm-
lawn.
Surviving are his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence W. Donner
with whom he resided; six broth-
ers, Henry of North Tonawanda,
Lawrence, Jr., Howard, Jacob,
Norman and Charles of town of
Wheatfield, and three sisters, Ruth
Donner of Wheatfield, Mrs. Mi-
chael Lester of Camden, N.J.
and Mrs. Frank Luescher of
North Tonawanda.
Albert Wolansky, 43, of 399
Fredericka street was with Don-
ner and was also drowned. His
funeral services were held yes-
terday.
