JOHN STRICKER DIES
City Employe, Descendant of Old
Family. Heart Attack Victim.
John C. Strieker. 54-vear-old city
employe, of 23 Hyde Park boulevard
died in Memorial hospital at
3 15 o'clock this morning He suffered
a heart attack three months
ago and yesterday was taken sud-
denly ill and was rushed to theh
hospital.
A native of Niagara Falls Mr.
Strieker was a son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Gottlieb Strieker, pioneer,
residents. He had resided here all
his life and for years was employed
in the city;s ashes and garbage
department.
He is survived by his wife. Mrs
Ida Strieker: a daughter. Mrs
Martin Nelson; a son, Jack Stricker;
brother. Frederick W. Stricker, all!
of this city and two sisters Mrs.
John Maunders of this city, and
Mrs. Charles Kalias of Washington
D C. Three grandchildren also
survive.
Funeral services will be held at
the Gridley funeral home at 2 p.m.
Monday. with tne Rev. Dr Philip
W Mosher officiating. Burial will
be in Oakwood cemetery.
