A recent marriage in Salem
Evangelical and Reformed Church
was that of Miss Doris H. Semon,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Semon of Minerva St and Harry
E. Dorn, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Dorn of Virginia St. The
ceremony was performed May 22
by the Rev. Walter F. Hetzel.
White flowers decorated the altar
for the candlelight service.
Theron Miller sang "Because"
and "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied
by Mrs. Miller at the organ.
Miss Marion Semon was maid of
honor for her sister and Emerson
Tiebor attended Mr. Dorn as best
man.
The bride wore a yellow gabardine
suit with brown accessories
and a corsage of white orchids
and lilies of the valley.
Her attendant chose a light
blue gabardine suit with black
accessories and a corsage of yellow
roses.
The bride's mother favored a
brown print dress and the bridegroom's
mother wore a black print
dress. Their corsages were of
mixed flowers.
A reception was held in Moose
Hall following the ceremony.
Shower parties for the bride
were given by Mrs. Norton Frey,
Mrs. Norma Kleber, Mrs. Harry
Dorn, Sr., Mrs. George Dorn, Mrs.
Fred Krott, Mrs. Howard Semon
and Mrs. Carrie Cooper.
