  Niagara Gazette - 1/2/1968 Ronald C. Abate, 37, of 1525 Whitney Ave., died today (Jan. 2, 1968) in Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Abate was employed by the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a general repairman. He was a native of this city and attended local schools. Mr. Abate worked at the Carborundum Co. prior to employment with the school system. He was.a member of. the Naval-Re-- serve for 19 years. He was a member of the St Joseph Holy Name Society and the.Hyde Park Little League and Babe Ruth Little League Mr. Abate is survived by his wife, Mary;' his mother, Mrs. Betty Abate; two sons, John and Randy and a daughter, Patricia, all of this city; a brother, Frank Abate,~-Long Island; an uncle, Harry Abate, deputy superintendent of schools here, and an aunt, Louise Nanea, this city. Funeral services will be held at the Magaddino Funeral Home Friday at 8:30 a.m. and at St Joseph's Church at 9:15 a.m Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
