NEWFANE — Connie Weir, of Newfane, NY, wife of Al Weir, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011. She was born in Lockport, NY, on August 27, 1954. She attended Newfane High School and married Al on June 1, 1974. Connie previously worked as a bookkeeper at Niagara Implement and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time in Florida. Most of all, she loved being with her family.
She is survived by her parents, Diamond and Edna Pipiles of Lockport, NY; sons, Joshua (Andrea) Weir of Westland, MI, and Benjamin (Rebecca) Weir of Washington, DC; siblings, Ernest (Vadonna) Pipiles of Wilson, NY, Diamond (Nancy) Pipiles of North Dakota, William (Marjorie) Pipiles of Newfane, NY, Deborah (Claude Wooley) Pipiles of Lockport, NY, Karen (Al) Andrews of Grand Island, NY, and Matthew and Edward Pipiles of Lockport, NY; several nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Marilyn Weir of Burt, NY; and sister-in-law, Linda (William) Kay of West Valley, NY.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, SATURDAY 7-9, SUNDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH on MONDAY at 11 AM. Donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association (www.abta.com) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
