The First Baptist church at Newfane
was the scene of a pretty summer
wedding on Tuesday afternoon
at three o'clock when Rev. Eugene
J. Fleury, united In marriage Miss
Beatrice B. Mason, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Wlnkley, of Hillcrest
avenue, Newfane, to Joseph W.
Brandstetter, son of Mrs. Frances
Brandstetter, of Auburn.
A profusion of hollyhocks In
shades of pink and white and other
summer garden flowers were used
for the church decorations. The
pews were marked off with white
satin ribbon. Miss Malsle Flynn of
Newfane, played the wedding music.
The bride given in marriage by her
brother, was charming in a white
chiffon gown, with a bertha gracefully
draped and caught in the back
with a white chiffon rosette, the long
skirt being hemmed with a ruffle.
She wore a picture hat of white
lace straw with satin ribbon, lace
mitts, and carried a bouquet of
sweetheart roses, gysopbilia and
fern leaves, In shades of deep cream.
Mrs. Harry Mason, matron of honor
was gowned In yellow net embroidered
In sea foam green, and broad
brim hat of sea foam green, white
lace mitts and carried Columbia
roses, gysophilla, com flowers, and
fern leaves.
Mrs. Wlnkley, mother of the bride,
was gowned In autumn brown with
ecru lace with hat and slippers to
correspond. Harry Mason was best
man.
Following the ceremony, a reception
was held at the bride's home
for the Immediate family and a few
friends. The house decorations were
colorful In their arrangement of
roses, snapdragons, sweet peas and
ferns mixed with gysophilla.
A dainty buffet lunch was served.
The centerpiece was a silver basket
filled with lowers In pastel shades,
while at bothe ends of the table stood
ivory tapers tied with tulle and flowers
in silver holders. Artistically areranged
on the buffet table was a
bride's cake of white decorations.
The gift of the bride to her matron
of honor was a lovely necklace
and to the organist, a vanity case.
The bridegroom's gift to his best
man was a pair of gloves.
Mr. and Mrs. Brandstetter have
left by motor for a trip to the Thousand
Islands. Upon returning, they
will be at home in 61 1/2 Lyon street,
Batavia. The bride's going away
costume was a suit of autumn brown
and egg shell crepe, with hat and
slippers in similar tones.
The guests Included, Mr. and Mrs.
John Jellings, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Mason, Mr. Abel, of this City, Mrs.
Schwartz and daughter, of Martinsville,
Miss Aleda Blair, of Gasport;
Mrs. Samson, of Corwln; Rev.
EugeiM J. Fleury, Mrs. Harold
Owens, the Misses Maisie and Marguerite
Flynn of Newfane.
