  Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 4/20/1966 Roger M. Barrell, 85, or 5610 Chestnut St., Newfane, a lifelong farmer in the Town of Newfane, died this morning (April 20, 1966) after a long illness. Born May 18, 1880, in Newfane, he was the son of Theodore and Mary Jane Phillips Barrell. For many years, he owned and operated a farm at 5610 Chestnut St., and for 14 years lived at 2845 S. Main St., in the village. He was the husband of the late Mabel Smith Barrell. Surviving are one son, Rollin R. Barrell of Newfane; one sister, Mrs. Maude Woodcock of Wilson, a brother, Theodore Barrell of Newfane; one grandson, Richard L. Barrell, also two great - grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Beginning this evening, friends may call at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Ave., Newfane, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. The family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane.
