of their daughter, Phyllis Marcia
to S-Sgt. Joseph Berube, son
of Mr. and Mrs. John Berube of
Solon, Maine, will take place Sunday,
May 6 at 4 p.m. in St. Paul's
Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Martinsville. The Rev. Frederick
A. Hinners will officiate.
S-Sgt. Berube has been a mem-
ber of the United States Air'
Force for the past 4 4 years. He
is stationed at Rome, N. Y. and
at present is on temporary duty
at Selfridge Air Force Base,
Michigan.

North Tonawanda, May 6 when
she became the bride of S-sgt.
Joseph Raymond Berube, son of
Mr. and Mrs. John Berube of Solon,
Me., In St. Paul's Evangelical
Church. Martinsville, the Rev.
Frederick A. Hlnners officiating.
Arnold Nuoffer was organist and
Miss Dorothy Krull, soloist.
The bride's sister, Miss Audrey
Hamann, wan maid of honor and
the Misses Shirley Boehnke end
Gayle Downing, bridesmaids. Edward
Forth was best man and ushers
were Lee Sherwood and Donald
Broecker.
The bride's gown was fashioned
with a scalloped yoke of illusion
and a skirt gathered at the waist
and forming a train. Her veil inns
attached to a tiare of, lace trimmed
with pearls and seed-pearls. She
carried a Colonial bouquet of white
roses and carnations sprinkled
with red roses.
The bridesmaids' gowns of frosted
organdy were In pastel shades
of pink, blue and yellow. Low
cut necklines and short sleeves
featured the gowns styled like that
of the bride. They wore mitts to
match and large picture hats. Colonial
bouquets of mixed flowers
harmonized with their gowns.
Mrs. Hamann favored a gray
sheer over lavender with a navy
net and accessories and a corsage
of pink roses.
A reception was held In the
Shawnee Fire Hall, 136 guests attending
The brtdal table was centered
with a tiered wedding cake
and decorated with colored streamers.
Wedding bells and streamers
were room decorations.
The couple motored to the New
England States for the wedding
trip. The bride will reside with
her parents and Sgt. Berube has
returned to fils station at Selfridge
Air Perce Base, Mich.
Pre-nuptlal events included a
shower given by Mrs. Herbert Winter,
e shower at the horns of
Miss Shirley Boehnke with friends
members of the Chant Sans
attending, a shower by
Miss Gayle Downing and a dinner
and shower given by employes
of the office of the National Grinding
Wheel Company at the Whirlpool
Club, Niagara Falls.

Phyllis M. Berube, age 83, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on July 31, 2015 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born on May 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Lily (Winter) Hamann.
Phyllis was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Shawnee. She was a dedicated homemaker and was employed at Ridge Road Express for 40 years, enjoyed camping, crafting, and socializing with the Wheatfield Seniors.
Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph R. Berube; two children, Sharon (Paul) Seland and Mark (Darlene) Berube; a sister, Audrey (late James) Burns; brother, Edwin (Marion) Hamann, Jr.; grandchildren, Eric Moje, Danielle Berube, David Berube, Craig (Dawn) Seland, Darryl Seland and Jenna (Scott) Goble; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Rebecca, Jackson, Jaycie, Jolie and Cole; two brothers-in-law, Bernard and William Berube; and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by a son, Dale Berube.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234), 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ronald Lord on Tuesday at 10:30 AM in St. Paul's United Church of Christ - Shawnee, 3921 Mapleton Road in Wheatfield. Interment will follow in the Wheatfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
