Benjamin W. Harms Jr.
Benjamin W. Harms, Jr., 38, formerly of North Tonawanda, died Saturday (May 17, 1969) at the San Francisco General Hospital, San Francisco, Calif., where he had been a patient since Feb. 16, 1969. A native of North Tonawanda, he was born March 23, 1931, the son of Benjamin W. and Grace Szalla Harms. He had been a resident of the San Francisco area for the last five years and was employed as a machinist by a cabinet making firm. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1950-53. He is survived by his parents of North Tonawanda; five brothers, Albert, Bruce, David, Brian, and Michael Harms all of North Tonawanda; three sisters, Mrs. Edmund (Loretta) Schultz of East Aurora, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Hines and Mrs. Samuel (Karen) Mangel, both of Niagara Falls. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Taylor and Reynolds Funeral Home, Lockport, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Luther Lautenschlager, pastor of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church of North Tonawnada, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, North Tonawanda.
