LOCKPORT-Seymour Winters,
59, of 35 Phelps St. died
suddenly at his home Saturday
(Nov. 20, 1971). The first aid
squad responded to the home
about 7 p.m. and the
resuscitator was used. He was
taken to Lockport Memorial
Hospital where he was
pronounced dead on arrival.
A native of Lockport, he was
born Jan. 13, 1912, the son of
Frank and Bertha Bluhm
Winters and was employed by
the Niagara County Fruit Cold
Storage firm until it closed
several years ago. Since that
time, he was a maintenance
employe at Mount View
Hospital.
He served in the U.S. Army
during WW II and was a
member of the First English
Lutheran Church.
.He is survived by his wife,
Pelores Naylor Winters; two
sons, Herbert Winters of
Watertown and Edward
Winters of' Lockport; three .
daughters, Mrs. Howard
(Sharon) Garlock, Mrs.
Herman (Katherine) Rhode
and Mrs. William (Mildred)
Spear, all of Lockport and,
Several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the
Prudden and Kandt Funeral
Home, 242 Genesee St. where
services will be held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday. The Rev. Lee
Mathers Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Glenwood
Cemetery.
