  Niagara Gazette - 12/29/1958 A resident of this city for many years before moving to Akron, N. Y. a year ago Walter Shannon, 50, died In Genesee Memorial Hospital In Batavia Saturday (Dec. 27, 1958) after a long illness. Mr. Shannon was employed at the DuPont Co.. retiring a year ago because of illness. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Shannon. Akron; a daughter, Mrs. John V. O'Connor (Evelyn) of Lewlston; two brothers, James of Riviera Beach, Fla., and Victor of Niagara Falls; two sisters. Mrs. Lawrence Randony, Easton, Fa., and Mrs. Nicholas Gronda, Riverdale, N. J., and three grandchildren: Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Rome tn Akron. Inter- ment will be in Akron.
