APPLETON-Thomas; Leo
Devereaux, 83, of 2280
Checkered Tavern Road, died
Sunday (March 28, 1971) at
Mount View Hospital, Lockport
after being a patient there for
10 days.
Born Dec. 8, 1887 in the town
of Hartland, he was the son
of Patrick and Bridget Kinney
Devereaux. .
He was a member of the Holy
Name Society of St. Patrick's
Roman Catholic Church at
Barker. He was also a member
of the Niagara County Farm
Bureau at Lockport,, and a
former committeeman for the
Farm Bureau Extention Service.
He Is survived by his widow,
the former Marion Wiseman;
a son, Thomas J. Devereaux
of Appleton; three daughters,
Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Alt, and
Mrs. Robert ( Ge r t r u d e )
Rovinson, both of Barker, and
Mrs. Mildred Kennedy of. Appleton,
13 grandchildren and 24
great grandchildren.
Friends may call today and
Tuesday at the Hood Funeral
Home, Barker, from 2 to 5 p.m.
and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services
will be at St. Patrick's
Church, Barker, Wednesday at
10 a:rn. Burial will be in
Hartland Central Cemetery. ,
The rosary will be recited at;
8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home.
