North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 5/23/1962
 BINGERT - George W. Bingert,
 69, of 15 Hill Place, Tonawanda,
 died Monday (May 21,
 1962) in Veterans Hospital, Buffalo,
 after several months illness.
 A native of Tonawanda, he was
 a veteran of World War I and
 was awarded the Purple Heart.
 Mr. Bingert was a member of
 Grace Lutheran Church, the
 Church Council and the Brotherhood
 of the church; American Legion
 Post 264; Veterans of Foreign
 Wars Post 3218; DAV Post
 60 and the 78th Division Association
 of Buffalo. Survivors include
 his wife, Geneva Martin Bingert;
 a sister, Mrs. Fred Driscoll, and
 a brother. Frank Bingert, both of
 Tonawanda, and several nieces
 and nephews. He was the brother
 of the late Theodore Bingert,
 who died in 1952. Friends may
 call at John O. Roth F u n e r a l
 Home, Morgan and William
 Streets, Tonawanda, where services
 will be conducted by the Rev.
 Howard Funk at 1.30 p.m. Thursday.
 Burial in Elmlawn Cemetery.
 Graveside rites by American
 Legion Post 264.
