TOWN OF TONAWANDA — Gladys “Daisy” (nee Gable) Bushardt, 91, of the Town of Tonawanda, entered into rest on Friday, September 9, 2011, at the McAuley Residence. Born May 3, 1920 to the late William and Mollie (nee Theiling). Mrs. Bushardt retired from the Columbus McKinnen Corporation where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of the Ensminger and Mang Senior Citizen Center, the Altar Guild, American Red Cross and the Tonawanda Meals on Wheels. Beloved wife of the late Martin Witkop and Gustave Bushardt.
Dear mother of Carol Ann (Jim) Rojek of Lockport and Mark (Beverly) Witkop of North Tonawanda; grandmother of Michael Burley, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Heather Witkop of Michigan and Julie Bushardt; great-grandmother of Stephen and McKayla of Las Vegas, NV.
Relatives and friends may call Monday only from 3-6 PM at the HILLIARD-CREASEY FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 147 Delaware Street, Tonawanda, NY 14150. A funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Macular Degeneration Foundation or the Blind Association of WNY would be appreciated.
