Mrs. Hazel H. Brandis, 85,
of the Meadows Apartments,
New Hartford, a former
Clinton resident, died
December 13 at St. Elizabeth
Hospital after a brief illness.
For many years she and
her husband, Durward F.
Brandis, owned and operated
the Brandis Fuel Company,
Franklin Springs.
She was born in Franklin
Springs, daughter of Frank
and Cora Martin Howe, She'
attended Clinton schools.
She was married to Mr.
Brandis in 1912 in Clinton. He
died in 1967. She had been a
resident of New Hartford for
the past three years.
She was a member of Stone
Presbyterian Church,
Clinton.
Mrs. Brandis leaves a son,
Fay Brandis of Ridgefield,
Connecticut, and a brother,
Fay D. Howe of Newport.
The funeral was December
17 from Owens Funeral
Home with burial in Sunset
Hill Cemetery.
