Notes - Ronald L. Witt, age 81, of North Tonawanda, went to be with his Lord on November 22, 2023, following a brief illness. Ron was a U.S. Navy veteran. He had worked as an accountant for Conbow Recreation in Niagara Falls. He was a volunteer with the Hershell Carousel Museum and was also a volunteer and Chaplin for the Tonawanda Hook and Ladder Fire Company and was a member of the Tonawanda Fireman’s Benevolent Association. He is a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Sanborn, and had been a very active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where he had served in various capacities. He was also very active with the Buffalo Model Boat Club, and he enjoyed watching hydroplane boat racing. He served on the committee for the Canal Fest of the Tonawandas. Beloved husband of Janice M. (nee Pfohl) Witt for over 48 years. Dear father of Randy Witt. Brother of Marilyn (Thomas) Wolf and the late Martin Witt and late Larry Witt. Brother-in-law of Donna Witt, uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Sunday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM, from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Rd., Sanborn, Interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.
