  Niagara Gazette - 10/25/1939 LOCKPORT, Oct. 25-The funeral of Mrs. Caroline Bartel, 80, widow of John Bartel. 28 Walnut street, who died yesterday at the Lockport City hospital, will be held Friday at 2 p.m., at the Hemp funeral home at North Tonawanda. Interment will be In St. Matthew's cemetery, Niagara Falls boulevard. Mrs. Bartel was born In Germany but had resided in this country for 74 years. She was a resident of the Tonawandas before coming here. A son, John Bartel, of North Tonawanda, survives
