Wolanske's Body Returns on Friday For Reburial Here
The body of Pfc. Albert Wolanske of 461 Ward Rd., killed in action in Holland, Nov. 17, 1944, will arrive at the North Tonawanda New York Central depot Friday morning for reburial. The train is due at 7:30. A squad from Tonawandas Post, American Legion, will escort the body to the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St., where services will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. and in the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church at 2:30 p. m. The Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate and interment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery. Tonawandas Post will confer military honors. Pfc. Wolanske was born in North Tonawanda July 4, 1914. He attended the St. Mark's Parochial School and the North Tonawanda High School. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Wolanske Kehr; a daughter Patricia; five brothers Truman, Walter, Wilburt, George, and Raymond all of N. Tonawanda, and a sister, Lillian LaFleur, also of N. Tonawanda.
