  Posted: Thursday, September 4, 2014 12:46 pm Betty Jane (nee Rappleyea) Cech, of Tonawanda, passed through this life and departed from us on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the age of 84. Betty was born in North Tonawanda and married her teenage sweetheart, the late Casimer Cech. Her joy in life was her family, followed closely by bingo, tending to her garden and throwing tea parties for her grandchild and great-grandchildren. Loving and devoted mother of Kathie (William) Mogensen, David Cech and Dennis Cech, all of Tonawanda; proud grandmother of Jennifer Mogensen, Jason Mogensen, Cory Cech, Adam Cech and Nick Cech; great-grandmother to eight; survived by two sisters, Janet Nowicki and Maria Campbell. A Mass followed by a reception will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 6th, 2014 for family and friends of Betty at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 107 Scott Street, Tonawanda.
