Wolf, October 1,2013, age 97, born in Tonawanda, NY, beloved husband of the late Shirley R. (nee Woodruft) Wolf; dearest father of Gary R. Wolf, Marcia C. Wolf, James M. Wolf and Ronald L. Wolf; dear grandfather of Cheryl Kelly and Sarah (Wolf) Stanton; dear great-grandfather of Lewis C. Stanton; dear brother of his predeceased siblings, Donald Wolf, Walter Wolf, James Wolf, Virginia (Wolf) Alt and Charles Wolf. In 1933, Lewis graduated from Tonawanda High School. Through 1936, Lewis worked as a laborer after which for three years, he worked as a tool & die maker apprentice at Spaulding Fibre Co. in Tonawanda. In 1941, Lewis was hired by Curtiss Wright where he advanced to the position of supervisor of top-grade tool & die work, a position he held during World War II. After World War II, Lewis worked at two North Tonawanda companies, first as a tradesman at Pivot Punch & Die and then as a foreman at St Mary's Manufacturing. In 1961, he was hired by Bell Aerospace as an estimator of tooling and manufacturing costs. He was transferred to New Orleans, LA, for his final position with Bell, as senior estimator on a proposal for the U.S. Navy. Lewis began his retirement in March of 1981. There will be a private service for immediate family only at Elmlawn Cemetery where Lewis will be laid to rest.
