Bertha L. Herriven of Medina passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Herriven was born in Medina, NY on April 3, 1921 daughter of the late Eugene and Goldie Mae (Fizette) Wall.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Medina all of her life. She was a member of the Community Bible Church in Shelby and she enjoyed her family, helping other people, cooking and playing cards. She also enjoyed reminiscing.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Morgan in 1972; her second husband, George Herriven in 1984; and her siblings Edward Wall, Edna Parsons, Dorothy Gregory and Dayton Wall. She is survived by her children, Mary (Michael) Depew of Newfane, Stephen (Ellen) Morgan of Haines City, FL, Raymond "Pete" Morgan of Cape Coral, FL and Bernard (Jennifer) Morgan of Albion. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Community Bible Church in Shelby, NY with the Rev. Erik Olsen officiating. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials to Hospice of Orleans County, 14080 State Rt. 31, Albion, NY 14411 would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements by the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, Middleport, NY.
