Phyllis Mae Gee

WHEATFIELD — Phyllis Mae (Gruver) Gee, age 71, of Wheatfield, entered into rest on Friday, May 6, 2011, while at Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital, for cardiac care. Born in Mayport, PA, on August 27, 1939 to the late Vernon and Martha (Kunselman) Gruver.
She was a 1957 graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School. Phyllis was employed for several years at Olin Mathieson Corp. and at Sears until her retirement. She was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church, where she participated in many church activities. Phyllis loved her flowers, her apple collection, arts, crafts and the company of her many dear and loving friends.
Survivors include her loving husband, Larry Gee. They recently renewed their marriage vows at a celebration of their 50th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends; three sons, Jeffrey (Amanda) of Ransomville, Timothy (Gina) of Parkton, MD and Gregory (Laurie) of Glen Burnie, MD; several grandchildren; and three sisters, Emma Jean (Giles) Hofmeyer of Niagara Falls, Barbara (Wayne) Kneeppel of Gasport and Sharon (Dave) Reisig of Rochester.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Wednesday 4-7:30 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch on Wednesday at 7:30 PM in the funeral home, following visitation. Interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Presbyterian Church, 815-84th. Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, or to a charity of one's choice.
