Falls Man Dies
At Carbon Plant
George Mess, 61, of 3012 Lockport
road, a resident of Niagara Falls
for about 25 years, collapsed and
died yesterday while at work at the
National Carbon company. He was
reported to have suffered a heart
attack.
Mr. Mess, born in Scotland, had
been employed by the company for
the last 24 years as an operator.
He was a member of St. James
Lodge 156.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane;
one son, George, Jr.; a daughter,
Mrs. L.D. Breeden, all of this city;
a brother, Robert, Peterhead, Scot-
land, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at the Rhoney Funeral home.
