Patrick Joseph Carey

LOCKPORT — Patrick Joseph Carey, age 51, of Niagara Falls, NY, was called to his heavenly home on November 27, 2012 while at the Niagara Hospice House, Lockport. Born in Queens, NY on May 5, 1961, he was the son of Donald and Nora (Lynch) Carey. Patrick came to Western NY in 1973 and attended LaSalle Senior High School. He was a United States veteran, serving in the Army from 1979-1982 and the Marine Corps from 1985-1989. Patrick attended the Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church, was employed at Dunlop Tire, in Tonawanda, and his hobbies included leather crafts, built clocks and model cars, and made latch hook rugs.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn M. (Klenner) Carey; they were united in marriage on December 17, 2010; father, Donald Carey; three children, Colleen (Scott) Stenzel, Chanel (Ramesh) Krishnan and Carmel (Chris) Richter; four grandchildren, Kameron and Mackenzie Stenzel, Jaden Richter and Kirah Krishnan; two brothers and one sister, Shaun (Lisa) Carey, Deens (Robert) Rose and Dennis (Diana) Carey; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by his mother, Nora Carey; and a brother, Michael Carey.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz), in Wheatfield (731-3234), on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Dick Bennett on Saturday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice.
