Mrs. Alice B. Nelson, 72, of
307 Catherine St., Wilson, died
Sunday (July 19, 1970) at Mount
St. Mary's Hospital after a short
illness.
A native of Tonawanda, she
was formerly employed in the
treasurer's office of the City of
Niagara Falls and the Marine
Midland Trust Company of
Western New York Wilson office.
She retired in 1961.
She was a member of the Wilsonian
Business and Professional
Women's Association, the
Exley United Methodist Church,
Wilson; the Inter-Community
Hospital Women's Auxiliary;
and Flagler Chapter, Order of
Eastern Star No. J55, of which
she was past matron.
She was a member of the past
Matrons and Patrons Association,
Niagara and Orleans District,
and was a regent of the
Daughters of the American Revolution
and the Niagara County
Historical Society.
Her husband, Clyde K. Nelson,
died in 1961.
Survivors include two sisters,
Mrs. Grace Woolcult of Niagara
Falls and Mrs. Andrew (Florence)
Houck of Lewiston, and
a brother, George Beach of Niagara
Falls.
s Funeral services will be at
the Cornell and Daggett Funeral
Chapel Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
The Rev. Fred Savage of Exley
United Methodist Church will
officiate. Burial will be in Acacia
Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the -funeral
home today from 7 to 9
p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5
and 7 to 9 p.m.'
Flagler Chapter OES No. 355
will conduct a memorial service
at the chapel Tuesday at
7:30 p.m. Contributions to the
Exley United. Methodist Church
Organ Fund, Wilson will be
acceptable as tributes, the family
said.
