FORESTPORT - Otto A. Koenig. 76.
North Lake Road, a retired Reservoir
Tender at North Lake, died at St.
Luke's Memorial Hospital, March 23,
1981.
Born in Germany on May 6, 1904, he
was a son of Adolph and Wiihelmina
Koenig He came to the U.S. with his
parents as an infant. The family settled
in the Town of Floyd, where Mr.
Koenig was employed on area_farms
On Apni 26, 1934 in Remsen, he married
Ernestine Worden. After their
marriage, they settled in Wheelertown
For a time, lie was employed by the
Herkimer County Highway Dept.
In 1944. Mr. Koenig accepted the
Gsition of Reservoir Tender at North
J
1974 The Koenjgs moved to their North
Lake Road home at that time. Mr. Koenig
was a Lutheran, as well as being a
member of Uriel Masonic Lodge,
Forestport and the Whitetail Deer
Association
Besides his wife, survivors include 2
sons. Theodore R , Holland Patent,
Bruce E . Forestport; a grandson.
Eric, Holland Patent; 2 brothers, Herman
of Floyd and Karl of Stittvilie; 4
sisters, Martha Burgmaier of Utica;
Rosa Sutherland, Mrs. Clavton (Dorothy
Shaler; both of Stittvilie, and Mrs
Gfover (Shirley) Jennett. Newport
Richey. Florida.
Funeral at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the
Trainor Funeral Home. Boonville
where friends may call on Wednesday,
2-4 and 7-9 p.m' Interment will be
made in Fairchilds Cemetery, Remsen.
Memorial donations may be made
to the Forestport Fire Fighters or to
the Prospect Ambulance Fund.
