Maurice Baker, 73. of
Route 12, Barneveld a retir-
ed farmer, died Feb. 6, 1982,
at Faxton Hospital, Utica,
after a brief illness.
Mr. Baker owned and
operated the Thompson and
James Farms in Holland
Patent and Baker Sales and
Service on Route 12 before
retiring in 1979.
Born July 28. 1908. in
Mohawk. he was the son of
Josiah and Kate Twining
Baker. He was a graduate of
Mornsville Agricultural and
Technical College.
Mr. Baker married Mildred
F. Base. She died in
1945. He married Olive Cros-
sway in 1946.
Surviving besides his wife
are two daughters, Mrs.
Emily Lewis, Whitesboro,
and Mrs. Bernard (Beatrice)
Van Valkenburgh, Orangeburg.
S.C.; a son, Robert M.
Baker, Barneveld; a brother
Walter Baker, Payson, Ariz.;
a sister. Mrs, Pearl Bates.
Glendale, Ariz.; five grandchildren,
and six greatgrandchildren.
The funeral was Monday
at the Koerner Funeral Home.
Holland Patent With
burial in Holland Patent
Cemetery.
