 LEWISTON - A prominent
 lumber dealer in
 Lewiston for many years
 died of a heart attack Saturday
 (July 13, 1963) in
 Hendersonville, N.C., where
 -he-had- been-living- since_.
 his retirement in 1953.
 Joseph Vevirit, 71, formerly
 of Ridge Road, was a
 partner in Vevirit Lumber
 Co. Inc., 130 S. Eighth St.,
 from 1921 until 1950. From
 1950 to 1953 he managed
 Vevirit Hardware in Center-
 Street.
 He was a past board member
 of the Village of Lewiston,
 a member of the American
 Legion, 40 and 8, one
 of the founders of the Lewiston
 Rifle Club and a charter
 member of the Lewiston
 Rotary Club.
 Survivors are his widow,
 Faye Campbell Vevirit, and
 three brothers, Thomas and
 Peter Vevirit, both of Lewiston,
 and James Vevirit,
 of Buffalo.
 F u n e r a l services and
 burial will be Wednesday
 in Hendersonville.
