- TOWN OF WHEATFIELD Yolan (Sipos) Ordian, 95, a longtime resident of the Town of Wheatfield, passed away on June 17, 2010, at Delaware Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo, NY, after a short illness. Prior to the nursing home, Yolan lived with her daughter in Buffalo since 2006. She was born in 1915 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Rosa and Bertalan Sipos. Her husband, Nicholas J. Ordian, predeceased her in 1973. She had been employed at Dunlap Tire in Tonawanda; the Wurlitzer Plant in North Tonawanda; and Jenss Department Store in Tonawanda and the Summit Park Mall. Yolan had been a member of the Adams Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She had been a Sunday school teacher, choir director, and church organist at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Riverside. She was an avid reader, birder, did many pieces of needlepoint, and made many afghans, making sure each of her grandchildren had at least one. She is survived by her son, Nicholas E. (Bernadette) Ordian of the Town of Wheatfield; and her daughter, Rosalie (late Thomas) Manuszewski; her four grandchildren, Kim Embry, Michele Lundberg, Paul Manuszewski, Theresa Dick; and ten great-grandchildren. She is fondly remembered as "Auntie Jo" by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother, Ernest (late Evelyn) Sipos of Kenmore, NY. There is No Prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Interment at Elmlawn Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
