- Hilborn Duncan, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 17, 2023 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Dozier, AL, he was the son of the late Sim and Rozadie (Jowers) Duncan.
Dunc came to the Niagara Falls area in the Mid 1950’s. On June 26, 1982, he married Yvonne (Warner) Duncan in Ransomville, NY. He was employed as Supervisor with the Union Carbide Corporation until his retirement in 1993. Dunc was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and a member of the Harley Owners Group. He also enjoyed racing, working on cars, listening to country music, and dancing.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, Hilborn is survived by his children, Duane (Veronika) Duncan, Bambi (Thomas) Kirkland, Sheila Duncan, and Jackie (Nick Mesmer) Rogers; his beloved dog, Abby, his grandchildren, Duane ‘DJ’ Duncan, Jennifer (Tim), Erica, Nicholas, Christopher ‘Critty’, Travis, Kristy, Adam and Kevin; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Jean (late Eugene) Fields; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings, Walter Duncan, Gladys (late Ferrel) Hamm, Juanita (late Arthur) Jackson, William (Betty) Duncan, Nathan Tatum, Jualine (late Merrill) Tressler, Wynell (late Grover) Pitts and Burnard (late Gloria) Duncan.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 21 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 AM.
