A marriage of especial interest was
solemnized at 6 o'clock last evening,
at 1st Presbyterian church, when
Rev. D. Hodson Lewis, united in
marriage, Miss Alice Janet Wicker,
daughter of Mrs. Berneice Woodward
Wicker of Walnut St. and Dr. H.
Wallace Blanton of Richmond, Va.
The bride wore her traveling suit
of blue trlcoline with hat to correspond
and she wore a corsage of orchids,
and roses and the groom's gift
a platinum and saphire pin.
Miss Elmore Wicker was her sis
ter's attendant, gowned in violet
broadcloth with violet hat and her
flowers were yellow roses.
Dr. W. B. Blanton of New Yorle
City was the best man.
Dr. and Mrs. Blanton left for an
eastern trip and will later be at home
at 320 W. Grace St., Richmond, Va,
Among out-of-town guests were
Dr. and Mrs. C. A. Blanton, Richmond,
Dr. Wyndham R. Blanton of
New Tork City and Mr. and Mrs.
W. J. Hart of Niagara Falls.
