  Marcea M. Echlin 83, of Newfane, NY wife of 45 years to Douglas Echlin entered into rest on Thursday February 1, 2017 at Legacy House in Ocala , Florida. Born on June 6, 1934 in Lockport, NY to the late Clair and Matilda Helwig Sherman. Marcea worked for General Motors for 23 plus years and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Surviving is her son's Duane, Donald and James Drake; a daughter Linda (William) Stoddard; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Also surviving is a sister in-law Alice Sherman. Marcea is predeceased by her brother's Perry, Eugene and Raymond Sherman and her sister's Lucille Crane, Violet Sonkers, Evelyn Sonkers, Virginia Jefferds and Yvonne Morris. Family and friends will be received at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY 14108 on FRIDAY from 4:00-6:00 PM. where funeral services will be held immediately following at 6:00PM. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery.
