  Myress M. Mathew of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and previously of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. She was born on May 18, 1926 in Chalmers, Indiana to William and Catherine (Danner) Strantz and lived most of her life in White and Tippecanoe counties in Indiana. She and her husband Jim opened and operated Lafayette Beauty Supply in Lafayette from 1961 to the late 1970s. She is survived by her children, Susan Mathew of Polacca, Arizona: Robin Mathew of Lafayette, Indiana: Mark (Peggy) Mathew of San Francisco, California; Francis Mathew of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Ann Marie Bauer of Noblesville, Indiana; her sisters Barbara Ward and Lorraine Stiers; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Francis Mathew in 1952 and James Mathew in 2010, and her brothers William, Raymond and Eugene. Services in Indiana will be scheduled at a later date.
