BOOTS-MACKENNA - Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Mackenna of the
Saunders Settlement Road announce the engagement of their daughter,
Marilyn., to Pvt. Orven Boots, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Boots of
Vine Street. The wedding will take place tomorrow at the Zion Lutheran
Church at Niagara Falls, the Rev. Charles Schmoyer officiating

celebrated their 25th
wedding anniversary.
Parties in their honor
were given by Mr. and Mrs.
John A. Boots of Juniper
Street, Lockport, a brother
to Mr. Boots, and by Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene Hoffman
of Lockport Road,
Lockport.
Thirty guests attended
an anniversary celebration
feting the couple at Kostek's
Restaurant, N o r th
Tonawanda. Out - of - town
guests included Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Towner and Mrs.
Albert Drake, both of Virginia,
and the Rev. and Mrs.
Kenneth Kolbe of Williamsville.
Mrs. Towner and Mrs.
Drake are sisters to Mr.
Bootes. Mrs. Towner was
a bridesmaid when the pair
was married.
Best man was John Bloom
of Lockport. The couple was
wed April 8, 1944 at Zion
Lutheran Church, Niagara
Falls.
