Pardo Bax, 71, of 2172 Jerauld
avenue, a veteran railroad man of
the New York Central system here,
died last night at Mt. St. Mary's
hospital after a short illness.
Born in Italy, Mr. Bax came to
Niagara Falls 44 years ago and was
employed by the New York Central
40 years prior to his retirement as a
section foreman, a few years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Rose;
two sons, Joseph P. and Anthony P.
Bax, this city; three daughters, Myr-
tle M. Max and Mrs. Louis Cirrito,
this city, and Mrs. Frank Anness,
Cincinnati, O.; three brothers, leo
Alfred J., and Romeo Bax, and a sis-
ter, Mrs. Frank Ieracitano, all of this
city. Four grandchildren also sur-
vive.
Funeral services will be held at the
Jerauld avenue home at 8:30 a.m.
Monday and at 9:15 a.m. at Sacred
Heart church. Burial will be in Gate
of Heaven cemetery.
