  Batavia NY Daily News - 6/17/1905 OAKFIKMI, June 17.-Seneca Allen, one of the oldest and best known residents of this town, died at 10 a. m. to- day, afters an illness of less than two days, at his home on the Batavia-Oaklicld townline road. Mr. Allen was bom on September 26, 1821, in Batavia, but for sixty years he had lived on the farm where he died. On March 2H, 1844, he was married to Miss Marie Showerman, who died a year ago last October. He is survived by two sons and a daughter, Millard Allen of Batavia and Walter Allen and Miss Retta Allen, who live at home; two brothers, William Allen of Batavia and Walter Allen of Michigan, and five grandchildren. - .The funeral will be held from-the house at 2 o'clock on Monday afternoon
