  Utica NY Herald Dispatch - 3/15/1915 North Bay, March 15.-Volney P. Annis died Saturday. Mr. Annis was born in Redfield 72 years ago. but had lived in this village about 50 years. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Annis. and shortly after Mr. Annis's birth they moved to the town of Florence, coming from that place to North Bay soon after. His wife died about six years ago. He is survived by three brothers, John of Tonawanda, Atwell and Albert of this place. mr. Annis will be remembered by many visitors in Oneida Lake as captain, about 30 years ago, of one of the lake steam- ers, the A. T. Garvin.
