  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 6/2/1978 GRAFF - Maud A. Graff, 78, of North Tonawanda, N.Y., Thursday (June 1, 1978) after a long illness. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, she was the wife of the late Herman C. Gradd and was a Gold Star Mother of World War II. Mrs. Graff was a member of several organizations including the Salvation Army Golden Agers in Tonawanda. She is survived by four daughters, Marian Graff of the Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. John (Vivian) Papoi of Texas, Mrs. Lavem (Mildred) Satt e l b e r g of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Louie (Elsie) Shaw of Lockport; three sons, Robert L. Graff of North Tonawanda, James A. Graff, U.S. Air Force and Richard C. Graff of Grand Island, also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 24 greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will be present 7-9 p.m., Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and S e y m o u r S t s ., Tonawanda where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. David B. Kaplan officiating. Interment at Elmlawn Cemetery. (2-3)
