LEWISTON, Dec. 29.-Mr. and
Mrs. Solomon Amsdill, of this vil-
lage. celebrated, on Christmas Day
the 51 anniversary of their mar
rlage. at the home of their son,
Carleton, and Mrs. Amsdill. in Buf-
falo.
Mr. and Mrs. Amsdill were married
In the Presbyterian church
parsonage, Lewiston, on Christmas
Day. 1886. by Elder Marsh, pastor
of the church. Mr. Amsdill was
born In the Town of Lewiston and
Mrs. Amsdill, nee Ellen Laycock
came here from Canada when she
was 22 years of age. The elderly
couple live comfortably in Lewiston
Mr. Amsdill, formerly a farmer,
still active but a leg injury receive
two years ago Incapacitated him
from active work.
Mr. and Mrs. Amsdill have three
sons. Carlton, in Buffalo. Egbert, town of
Lewiston. and Frank, in the Town
of Porter, and two daughters, Mrs Gaylord
Grout, of Lewiston. of Lewiston and
Mrs. William Woodhouse. of Niagara
Falls, and 14 grandchildren.
