Elba, July 6.-Mrs. Mary J. Mills
was married to Grant Brownell at the
home of her mother, Mrs, Peter Wiedrich
of Maple street, on Saturday
evening. The ceremony was performed
by the Rev. S. E. Matthews,
pastor of ,the Methodist church, of
which the groom formerly was pastor,
in the presence of the immediate
relatives of the contracting parties.
The couple was unattended.
The bride wore a gown of light
green cloth, trimmed with lace. Following
congratulations and a wedding
repast the bridal party proceeded to
the home of the groom on West avenue
and on Sunday morning Mr. and
Mrs. Brownell left on a carriage drive
to Canlsteo to spend two weeks with
the groom's parents. Mr. Brownell is
now one of the rural mail carriers of
Elba. Rest wishes are extended to
him and his bride.
